Influenced by the film poster for 'premontion'

30 Days of night Promotional Posters.

These are posters advertising the film 30 Days of Night, it shows various vampire characters and they all look quite disturbing with the bright red background and their bodies seem to be splattered and sprayed onto the background like blood. They all seem to be showing their fangs and to be in pain, usually with a promotional poster it would show the main characters. This movie is an 18.

Lesbian Vampire killers Poster

Lesbian Vampire killers is a Comedy/Horror about two unlikely heroes who save a village from a vampire curse.

The poster is not a typical vampire movie poster, instead of being Red and Black, Or dark blues and white it is blue and pink, a colour scheme more typical of comedy movies.

Although The poster does contain some Typical vampire movie elements such as weapons, women and a moon.

I think the poster works very well to advertise this film.

This is a poster for Blood which is a vampire film like ours. Like the 30 Days of Night Poster Luke has analysed it also follows the trends of vampire movie posters whit it having a red and black colour scheme, a female character, shows a weapon and follows the trends of normal film poster with it having a main title, tag line, says who's in it, who made it and the films website.

30 Days of night, is a horror film based around a small town that has been overcome by a mass of Vampires and a band of Un-lucky survivors try their best to escape the Blood thirsty newcomers.

I like this poster and DVD cover because by looking at it you immediately know what the film is about.

I like the colour scheme of bright red that looks messy and splattered making it look just like blood, it is also has a dark mysterious background which show's the vampires. The characters are also wearing large clothing and it shows bits of snow telling us that the setting for this film, is going to be somewhere cold and dark.

Both characters are holding weapons and their expressions are of both worry and determination showing us it is an Horror/action film.

The font type also looks messy and quickly written this maybe because the film is mainly about time and how long they have to live.

The tag line also draws us in because we don't exactly know what they mean by 'They' making us want to go and see it to find out who it is and why they are coming, this is also written in red to stand out and not blend in with the dark setting behind.

In conclusion, i think this is an excellent poster it shows us what the setting is going to be, who the characters are (both male and female), it shows us a bit of what they may be fighting and the genre of this film with the colour schemes (Red and Black) making it an Action, Horror, Mystery film.
